Ice Palace Cherepovets

Description

The Ice Palace of the city of Cherepovets is a sports and concert complex where hockey matches are held, as well as various sports and entertainment events, including concerts of famous artists.

The Ice Palace first officially announced itself in 2003. It was then that the governor of the region promised fans of the Severstal hockey team that an indoor ice arena would appear in the city.

In 2005, construction began on an indoor complex with a capacity of 6,000 people in the stands. The construction was carried out using modern materials, using the latest technologies in the field of construction of such large-scale sports facilities.

In October 2006, the building was commissioned and was named the Ice Palace. Already on November 4, 2006, on the day of the city of Cherepovets, the complex received its first visitors.

The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretyak, as well as the President of the Cross-Country Skiing Federation Vladimir Loginov. Tatyana Navka and Roman Kostomarov performed at the festive concert.

Today, the site hosts not only hockey matches, but also performances by artists of the "first division" of our show business. Olga Buzova, Artur Pirozhkov, Zivert perform here, ice shows and performances are held, and there is just mass skating for everyone who loves skating.
