Andrey Vadimovich Makarevich is an outstanding Soviet and Russian musician, singer, poet, bard, composer, artist, producer, TV presenter and actor. He is the founder and permanent member of the legendary rock band «Time Machine». People's Artist of the Russian Federation and Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Makarevich left a significant mark on the country's musical culture.

Andrei Makarevich was born on December 11, 1953 in Moscow. As a child, he lived in a house on Volkhonka, and later the family moved to Komsomolsky Prospekt, where his sister Natalya was born. He studied at the 19th Moscow special school with an English bias, which gave him the opportunity to expand his horizons and cultural horizons.

In the eighth grade, Andrei assembled his first ensemble, «The Kids,» which gave its first official concert in 1968. In 1969, together with his classmates, he organized the group «Time Machine,» which later became iconic in the history of Russian rock music.

After graduating from school, Makarevich entered the Moscow Architectural Institute, from which he graduated in 1977 with a diploma in graphic artist and architect. However, his true calling has always been connected with music. In 1979, the group «Time Machine» signed the first contract with Soyuzconcert, which marked the beginning of Andrei Makarevich’s official musical career.
